Children of 3 years and over are able to access the free nursery places scheme (up to 15 hours universal funding per week.) This takes effect from the term after they have reached 3 years of age (e.g a child 3 in November would be eligible for free funding in the following spring term in January). Working parents may be entitled to a further 15 hours of extended funding: 30 hours in total. Please check your eligibility on the Government’s “Childcare Choices” website. You need to set this up the term before you wish to access the extended funding entitlement.
Some families may be eligible for 15 hours of 2 year old funding (assessment based.) Please access the following website to check if you qualify:-
www.derbyshire.gov.uk/fcc
Families can also apply for tax-free childcare, which would save you 20 per cent of your bill.
Charges from September 2024 for non-funded children will be £18 per morning session (9.15-12.15 pm) or £36 for a full day (from 9.15-3.15 pm), which is payable each half term (or weekly/fortnightly by arrangement.) Payment can be made by bank transfer, cash, cheque or using a nursery voucher scheme such as Care 4 (please check with us first which vouchers we can accept – we can usually register for new providers but please ask first).
